These pages offer discussion of some of the limitations of the Cluster project. It is important to understand these in order to use the Cluster effectively. In particular, they may explain why you do not get the search results that you expect.

  • Cluster Content: Discussion of the Cluster's content, namely the data which the underlying projects provide, what they can and cannot tell us, and how they do and do not overlap.
  • Invalid Searches: Some examples of searches which will probably not return the results that you expect, along with explanations of why this happens. This may be particularly useful if you do not get the results that you expect.

See also Integrating Historical Data in the Project Report for discussion of the challenges in integrating different sources of historical data, and why this is more difficult than most forms of data.
